Please call Harriet Ader or the Temple to say what you are bringing, so that there are no duplicates. On Oct. 7th, we will be having our next nursing home visits: 10:15am at the St. James Plaza & 11am at St. James Nursing home. The Rabbi will be meeting us there where we'll sing a few songs & ask the residents about their memories of High Holiday & Sukkot celebrations in the past. Then we walk next door to St. James Nursing Home & do it a 2nd time to those residents. It feels good to be able to give a small piece of the holidays to these residents. Please call Harriet Ader-662-0098 if you need further information. On Oct 28th & afterwards Gloria Cohen will teach us how to play Mahjong, starting at 7:30pm in the Sisterhood room. For the Nov. annual Sisterhood get together Pot Luck Dinner in the Sisterhood Room at 7:30pm. It is a nice time to meet & great other Sisterhood members. Please call Harriet Ader or the Temple to say what you are bringing, so that there are no duplicates. Soho comes to Smithtown-Art Show & Jewelry Sale Sunday Dec. 7th. We will have for sale art work, plus the Judaica shop will be opened & we will have a few Jewelry Ladies selling their lovely jewelry in the lobby.
Chanukah Dec. 12th-19th
Judaica Shop Chanukah Sale Dec. 2nd & 7th-4:40pm to 6:30pm Men's Club children's Chanukah party Dec. 13th Sunday 3pm. Sisterhood Shabbath will be in Jan. Please help by volunteering to read either in Hebrew or in English. The more people participate the better!
Passover begins March 30th.
There will be a nursing home visit for Passover & also a Judaica shop sale for Passover.
Later in April there will be another Art Show. Please come & see the painting & other works of art. |
